The Biospectrum Horizons: A Journal of Life Science Research (JASLSRI) follows a fully open-access publication model, ensuring that all published research is freely accessible worldwide without any subscription or access fees.

1. Open Access Policy

• All articles are published under an open-access license (CC BY 4.0), allowing readers to read, download, share, and reproduce the work, provided proper citation of the original source is maintained.
• Authors retain the copyright of their manuscripts and grant JASLSRI the right of first publication.

2. Article Processing Charges (APC)

To cover the costs of manuscript handling, peer review, online hosting, and digital preservation, a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied after acceptance.

• For Indian Authors (Non-Members of Academic Society for Life Science Research and Innovation - ASLSRI): ₹1200 (INR) per accepted article
• For Indian Authors (ASLSRI Life Members): ₹1000 (INR) per accepted article
• For International Authors (Non-Life Members of ASLSRI): $100 (USD) per accepted article
• For International Authors (ASLSRI Life Members): $50 (USD) per accepted article
• No submission fee or page charges are applicable at any stage.
• Payment details will be shared with the corresponding author upon acceptance of the manuscript.

3. Waiver Policy

• JASLSRI encourages participation from authors across all regions and disciplines.
• Authors facing financial constraints or affiliated with institutions from low-income or lower-middle-income countries (as per the World Bank classification) may apply for a partial or full waiver of publication fees.
• Waiver requests must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission, along with a brief justification.
• The Editorial Office reviews all waiver requests on a case-by-case basis.
• Waiver decisions are independent of the editorial or peer-review outcome.

4. Funding Acknowledgment

• Authors are encouraged to acknowledge any funding sources or institutional support used to cover publication charges.
• Compliance with funding agencies’ open-access policies must be ensured by the corresponding author.

5. Transparency and Integrity

• JASLSRI maintains a transparent fee structure with no hidden charges after acceptance.
• There are no additional charges for color figures, tables, or supplementary data.
• The publication fee supports editorial management, peer review, digital preservation, indexing, and open access dissemination.
